Town Council
Council Members
I have lived with my family in Castle Creek in the Town of Chenango for the past 37 years after graduating from Chenango Valley High School and SUNY Broome. I was President of the Castle Creek Civic Association for 7 years. I served on the Whitney Point School Board for 9 years, 2 as Vice President and 5 as President. I served as an alternate on the Town Planning Board for 3 years. I am currently the Safety & DOT Manager at Cooper Electric, a Sonepar Company.
During my term I would like to maintain the high quality of Town services while maintaining property taxes through a balanced and efficient Town budget.
I was elected to represent and serve the residents as best I can for as long as they know I am doing that.
I grew up on a dairy farm in the Mohawk Valley area. I attended Morrisville Agricultural & Technical College and Cornell University, majoring in Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. I married my wife, Joy, 40 years ago and her father owned an apple orchard, which is Apple Hills. We raised our 2 sons in the Town of Chenango, both graduating from Chenango Forks High School.
Being involved in a small business, my wife and I are responsible for our survival and success. I am familiar with tight budgets, labor concerns, and devastating weather events.
I am active with the Broome County Cooperative Extension and have served on their Board of Directors. I have also served on the Board of Directors and as President of the Broome County Farm Bureau for the past 30 years. I’ve served on several other local and state agricultural related committees.
It is an honor to serve the residents of the Town and I look forward to making a difference in our community.
